The No Barriers to Employment project (2022-1-SE01-KA220-ADU-000089826) aims to foster social inclusion by enhancing the participation of individuals with Intellectual Disability in social and economic activities. This initiative seeks to eliminate the barriers that contribute to social exclusion, through stakeholder capacitation, thereby promoting a more inclusive society.
To achieve its goals, the project will develop a comprehensive employment training program for vocational counselors, teachers, and other professionals on the field of inclusion, enhancing the qualifications of staff involved in the education and job placement of individuals with ID, and training them on workplace adaptation, skill continuity, and effective communication in the workplace.
Expected outcomes of the project include improved social integration and economic independence for individuals with ID, enhanced skills and employment rates among this demographic, and better-prepared vocational counselors and educators leading to more effective job placement and support.
